A Japan-based tech manufacturing company has chosen Austin for its first U.S. production site, and plans a multi-million-dollar facility that will create about 70 jobs in the area, according to Gov. Greg Abbott’s office.
CKD Corporation will invest $13 million into the production site, which is scheduled to begin operations in fall 2021, according to the governor’s office. An address for the facility was not released.
